AbstractMarket mechanisms widely penetrate into Bulgarian health care management under the conditions of a reform. These mechanisms have specificity that has an impact on the market forces: demand and supply, which in health care have a specific character of their own. This report aims by analyzing data from available literature to cast a light on the problem and to provide generally accepted terms for demand and supply in health care. Terms are interpreted in accordance with Michael Grossman's „human capital theory".
