Abstract
The topic concerning patient rights is a relatively new aspect in the history of medical practice in Bulgaria, which does not decrease its significance. The contemporary understanding of these rights is based on the idea that everyone has the abilities and power which reveal and in this way practice his/her rights. This paper presents the current state of knowledge about patient’s rights according to the acting law in Bulgarian health care system. Additionally, a literature review concerning the particularities of patient’s rights in some countries was made.
